This Privacy Policy explains how Constellate processes information when you generate, save, and share constellation artwork in the app.
2. Data We Process
Prompt Text — Text you enter to generate artwork.
Generated Source Image — The generated image returned by our generation provider and used to build constellation output.
On-Device App Data — Saved constellations, thumbnails, settings, and generation cache stored locally on your device.
Technical Request Metadata — Integrity and anti-abuse metadata such as timestamps, nonces, SHA-256 hashes, and signature headers.
3. Network Services and Data Sharing
For signed query logging in production, the app transmits enhanced prompt text, generated source image data, and integrity headers (key id, timestamp, nonce, hashes, signature).
We do not sell your data. Data is shared only with service providers needed for app functionality and operational security.
4. Permissions and Device Access
Internet — Required for remote image generation and query logging requests.
Photos/Media/Storage — Used when you export or save rendered images/GIFs to your device gallery.
Motion Sensors (Accelerometer) — Optional, on-device only, used for parallax visual effects.
Not Accessed — Constellate does not request contacts, microphone, or location permissions.
5. Storage and Retention
Local app data is stored on-device via local storage (Hive and shared preferences) for gallery items, cache, and settings.
You can delete saved constellations from the in-app gallery.
You can clear generation cache from Settings.
Remote query log retention is governed by backend operational policy.
6. Security
Network transmission uses HTTPS.
Query logger requests are signed with HMAC-based integrity headers.
Android hardening includes disabled cleartext traffic, disabled backup/data extraction, and release shrinking/obfuscation.
7. Children’s Privacy
Constellate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data. The practical scope of these rights depends on data held by relevant service providers and applicable law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updated, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page.
